I can see the Canucks offering Bartowski a mil for a one year deal. He did have the second highest goals on D.

Canucks in playoffs past got steamrolled because they were pu$$ies. I looked at the fear in Tanevs eye when he got ran over by Ferland . Canucks had to send 2 men in to fight Engelland. Our playoff history shows what a bunch of cream puffs this team was. Go back to Bolland and Brown attacking the Sedins and no one hit back. I have seen Edler scurry away to avoid a scrum where his captain is being mauled. You can't win like that.

Canucks have some good young talent with Bo Etem Sven . They have Boeser and this years pick that should also be a good player.

We need size and toughness. We are getting there. I hope Gudbrandson teaches Tryamkin how to play big and mean.

Thanks Carol!

Vantel....from last thread, this is where is see things SLIGHTLY differently than you. Yes they truly need more size and toughness, but more importantly, they lost because they're just not as skilled as the other teams/

Five years ago the Canucks strength was actually their goaltending and their defence. They had one good offensive line in the Sedins, in the playoffs you can shut them down and you're screwed because your secondary scoring and depth guys aren't there....that's why they're not Champions.

They need more skillz!!!

They also had Kesler 40 goals back then Burrows was a 35 goal scorer one year , Raymond had 25.

If you have 12 million to spend on stamkos wouldn't you be better off to make the team deeper by signing both Loui Eriksson and Lucic for the same $$$ More lines that can score and compete would make the team deeper to compete with the California teams (from last post)

No stamps is more useful. Why do you think Toews and Kane 10.5 instead of 2 others for 5.25 each?

Burrows was with the twins, so one line, Raymond was exactly the kind of puzzy you're talking about, if you blinked at him he'd fall down scared poopless!

Kesler never had anyone to play with when the Sedins were at their best, sadly.

The year Canucks went to the cup . This is your top 6

Daniel 41 goals
Kesler 41 goals
Burrows 28 goals
Henrick 19 or 18 goals
Raymond 18 goals
Samuelsson 18 goals

Total 164 goals

They had the skill but didn't have the toughness

Keslers line had 77 goals that year . That is very good for a second line. This year we had less than half of that.

Canucks had the skill they didn't have the grit.

Hutton has the attitude of a winner.

Ohlund should get signed for a day and properly retire as a Canuck.

The future isn't all doom and gloom.

Lefty and Vantel you are both right to a certain extent, we need to have the size and skill to compete. It is a long road ahead for JB and co to get this team where it needs to be but we still need to fill holes in the line up and build at the same time.

I am starting to see the plan ahead and I like what I see. Yes there questionable moves but things are coming into place.

They took a very big step towards fixing one. It is not even June. Let's see what the next four months bring.

The future is where it's at for the Canucks IMO, keep drafting and developing. Adding Lucic and Eriksson would make the team more competitive right now for sure, but keep drafting well, which he's done.

Did you see his year end interview, he was pretty choked up, loves the Blues organization, I find it hard to believe they won't make it work there.

I am not a fan of Raymond. I like guys like Simmonds Ward, Bouwer Ladd. Guys that will fight in front of the net.
